It was a cold winter day and I was on one of my little introspection rainy day walks letting my thoughts run free while my legs moved on autopilot. What was I introspecting you ask? Well, FOUNDATIONS ofcourse.
That is how this website was born...
I have been in the industry for a couple years now. Have worked a couple different jobs and built a couple different projects. The thing that stayed consistent throughout all of this was that although I knew how to do my job and I knew how to do it well, I did not really know why the things I did were correct or efficient or scalable. I always celebrated the black box onion method of learning where I started from the outside and peeled the layers of the concept as and when needed. This allowed me to learn and grow fast which was important at the time but left wondering what the secrets of the black box that made things behave the way I wanted them to were.
What did the SKELETONS of the web look like!?
This flung me onto a journey of learning and discovery unlike ever before. I saw elements of my University lifestyle pop up with the content I was consuming, but unlike then I now had a place to put this information in the closets of my mind. I had the experience needed to know what to do with the information I was consuming. This feeling was a gamechanger. I started connecting all the threads I had scattered around inside my head... I was recreating the WEB
I decided it would kind of be fun to log my journey into the depths of the web, make notes of and explain to the world in my own funky little words what I have learned. Not only would this help me retain better, but would also give me an opportunity to interact with and learn from people like YOU! which is awesome
It also felt like time to create a personal website for myself. One that told the world my story. My LORE. so this kind of felt like a 2 birds one stone approach and that is how I got here.
I do not know how this will grow going forward, what I will add and what I will change but LET ME TELL YOU I have big plans. So stay, dig around and see what you find among the skeletons in my closet O.O
It has been about 4 months now since this idea came to fruition. The cold and depressing winter months are slowly coming to a close and the happiness of spring is gushing through my bones!
Granted that I spend most of the last couple months eating and drinking and hanging out celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and holidays and what not, but I have also been working on this little project of mine. Today I think it is officially in a place where I would feel comfortable sharing this with the world. I spent so much time deliberating on the tiniest of details but a couple days back in the midst of a big set of job applications I sent out I made the decision to also share the link to this little page. That put me on a sprint to get this refined before the recruiters that dare venture into the thickets of my mind had a chance to arrive (maybe you are one of these recruiters, if so Hello! :D)
Nevetheless it was a thoroughly enjoyable last few days. This project has so much scope to grow and tob very honest I am just really happy I finally have a little corner of the internet that is completely mine. I am excited to see (and show you all) what comes next. Anyways...
The most important thing right now is: I am actively looking for a JOB so if you are someone who works in the lifestyle, or food or fashion or education (intersection tech) space then please reach out!!! I am sure I have a lot to contribute and a lot to learn from you! Exciting times up ahead as this is my first time recruiting in a while but I think it is going to be fun and take me to place I want to go but have not been yet :)
OH and also, ever since I begun working on this site, my writers hat has not left my head. Basically, I am going to be writing (again? first time? idk what counts) about all the little intersting things I have learnt or thought about or experience and putting them up here and I have such a large slew of ideas that I cant wait to share with you!
